Turning to the post-graduate scholarships

tenable in England, the present suggestion is two such

scholarships awarded every year. It is suggested that the value of each scholarship should be fixed at £1,000, irrespective of the length of the scholarship's tenure. It is estimated that the scholarship would be ordinarily tenable for 2 years, but if a scholar remained longer

this would not affect the cost of this scholarship

scheme. The cost of this scholarship scheme may be

thus stated:
